چکیده

This study aims to examine the effects of resistance versus complex exercise with retention post-activation potentiation (PAP) on vertical jump among volleyball players. A total 30 players (mean age = 16.5 ± 1.106 years old) were recruited as participants this study. The requested attend two different testing sessions, days between each session. Each session had a routine, namely, and complex. one-way repeated measure was used analyse performance jump, while pairwise comparison applied compare PAP exercises. findings show that there is significant interaction for both warm-up exercises; [(F(1,29)=1275.57, p=0.000] [(F(1,29) 1456.83, p= 0.000] exercise. analysis effect also indicates difference activities in performance. In conclusion, reveals exercises managed increase However, suggested be combined method it can maintain longer than

Effect of an Arm Swing on Countermovement Vertical Jump Performance in Elite Volleyball Players

The aim of this study was to determine how elite volleyball players employed the arm swing (AS) to enhance their jump performance. The study assessed how the AS influenced the duration and magnitude of the vertical ground reaction force (VGRF) during the main phases (preparatory, braking and accelerating) of the countermovement vertical jump (CMVJ), the starting position of the body at the begi...

Influence of Compression Garments on Vertical Jump Performance in NCAA Division I Volleyball Players

The purpose of this study was to determine whether compression shorts affected vertical jump performance. Subjects, 18 men and 18 women varsity volleyball players, were thoroughly familiarized with the jump tests and experimental techniques. Testing utilized compression shorts of normal fit (CS), undersized compression shorts (UCS), and loose fitting gym shorts as the control garment (CT). All ...

Acute effects of a warm-up including active, passive, and dynamic stretching on vertical jump performance.

The purpose of this study was to examine the acute effects of 3 different stretching methods combined with a warm-up protocol on vertical jump performance. Sixteen young tennis players (14.5 ± 2.8 years; 175 ± 5.6 cm; 64.0 ± 11.1 kg) were randomly assigned to 4 different experimental conditions on 4 successive days. Each session consisted of a general and specific warm-up, with 5 minutes of run...

Optimal Timing for Post-Activation Potentiation in Women Collegiate Volleyball Players

Post-activation potentiation (PAP) has been shown to acutely amplify muscular power output and may be advantageous for athletes looking to improve performance. PAP may have an acute window of effectiveness between 2 to 20 min. With correct timing and implementation it may be possible to induce PAP in competitive situations. The purpose of this study was to examine the time frame of potentiation...
